Benzodiazepine dependency is a
serious condition experienced by thousands of people in the United
States and many other countries in the world. These drugs, while
effective for short term relief of acute anxiety, produce significant
withdrawal difficulties if used for more than 2 – 4 weeks as
recommended by the manufacturers.

Beginning in September, 2002, 35 men and women from various localities in the United States agreed to participate in a blind, placebo controlled study to evaluate the effectiveness of NeuRecover BZ in reducing the withdrawal symptoms associated with recovery from use of benzodiazepines. The drugs in use ranged from Klonopin, Xanax, Ativan, and Valium. Participants were given Placebo (inert ingredients) or NeuRecover BZ , each for a one month period, and did not know which they were receiving. No one reported better effect with placebo and 96% reported reduced withdrawal symptoms with the NR BZ. NeuRecover BZ is a formula consisting of vitamins, minerals and amino acids designed to assist in the process of tapering down and eventually stopping the use of benzodiazepines. As previously stated this supplement has been shown to reduce the acute and protracted withdrawal symptoms which make the recovery process so difficult. The standard dose is 3 capsules twice daily, best if taken on an empty stomach. Four of the participants increased their dose to 9 capsules per day due to severe withdrawal symptoms and reported improved results. If Neu Recover BZ is going to be used while continuing to use a benzodiazepine you should always have at least two hours between taking supplement and taking benzo as a safety factor. If this is not done you may experience excessive drowsiness. NeuRecover BZ is NOT intended to take the place of benzodiazepines. It is intended to augment the tapering process. Benzodiazepines should never be stopped abruptly. The supplement will assist in the process of rebuilding the chemistry depleted by the tranquilizers so that normal brain function will be adequate to maintain calm. |
